
Brock Windsor (chef proprietor)
Since attending the Stratford Chefs School, Brock has been the chef of:
James Island, Sooke Harbour House, Bearfoot Bistro and last summer was the administrator of the Island Chefs’ Collaborative‘s Local Farm Market at Bastion Square in Victoria. He supports local agriculture and sustainable seafoods, and cooks from scratch changing the menu weekly or daily.
For Brock, the Inn represents the culmination of a 20 year goal to chef/own his own small farm/restaurant.
Ayako Windsor (innkeeper)
Ayako runs the bed & breakfast part of the Inn. With a background in the publishing industry, she also does print/web design for the restaurant.
Ayako came to Canada in 2000 and now calls Vancouver Island her home. Although she was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, having lived in a small country town in Australia for a year as a teenager made her comfortable with living in a place with natural surroundings.
The Family
Our son and our dog Sesame (blue heeler x corgi mix) may occasionally greet the guests! Although Sesame is generally a friendly dog, she can be protective around the entrances. Once you greet her with throwing a stick or pinecone, she will be a happy wagging tail!
